Any chance LSU signs a surprise running back?

I could see this happening in light of our decreased depth at running back with Ware and Ford gone, and with Magee making the switch to WR. We all know LSU planned to not take a RB is the hopes of going all in for Leonard Fournette. This was a good plan if we had a stable of running backs returning.

I could see a surprise commitment from a guy like Elijah McGuire to add depth to the team without intimidating Fournette from next year's class. That being said, I know this is a shot in the dark. Any thoughts?

Elijah McGuire

If there was room for a RB, I'd be happy to sign this guy.

I just don't think LSU will have a spot for a RB this year.

Yeah, not this year. Just no one thats available that has the talent to surplant anyone from 2014, which is loaded. Also, think Magee and Brazil could both see time/plays there, to go along with Hill, Hilliard, Blue as the main guys...

Next year isn't the problem. It's the year after

Hill blue and Kenny will all be gone and Magee will be the only scholly RB. So LF is a must along with a couple others.

If we don't get him we could be in a pickle. But I hear good things about LF so I'm not worried

If you are another back, why would you go to LSU next year if Fournette was going, knowing you will be blocked for three years or just be a role player? I think we'd be better off taking a guy this year instead of banking on hauling LF + 2 other guys next year.

If LSU were going to take a RB it would have be Adam Taylor.

For the 2015 class what about Nick Gibson
He will have a lot of offers by the time it's over with and I know he likes LSU. If we could get him and Nicholas brousette I think we would be set.

Do you even watch LSU football? When was the last time Miles kept one RB as the premier back during an entire season, much less 3 years?

You could be right, but there are 3-4 studs next year without leaving the state, and LSU looks to have their rb's identified for a few years out, according to some of Jrevonte's posts I've read. His son is a beast down the line, so there's some insight there. LSU will not be hurting for Blue chip RB's for a long time. Not worried about that position.

Hill, Blue, Hilliard is plenty depth. Not to mention if they move Magee back to RB. We don't need 12 RBs.

I disagree with this. We're an injury away from being thin.

And yes, I think we should move Magee back but the staff has given no indication this will happen.

I don't understand you. In one post, you imply we run a feature back system, and in the next, you state 3 proven guys aren't enough. You asked a question, and it's been answered over and over.

No.
