When the first Expendables came out I took him out for a steak dinner at a nice steakhouse here(my treat) and then we went to see that movie.

last valentine's day I put a card in my crush's desk with a lock of her hair I took while she was sleeping. she got all freaked out so I said it was the autistic kid and he got expelled.

thank god I forgot to sign the card.

You know surprisingly for me it's the simple things she does that gets me mushy.

Like we talked about last night. The messages on my mirror. One of my favorites was when I was leaving for 4 weeks and she put little "I Love You" "I Miss You" notes all through my luggage. I found those silly things for 3 weeks.

I think a well thought out card can mean a lot.

Before I left to come home back when I was living over there, I made him a card and put a picture of us inside, and wrote all of our inside jokes and funny quotes around it. I think he really liked it because that's when he first told me he wanted to keep things going and to visit me in the states.

I got the idea about the card with inside jokes from three of my friends who made me a birthday card like that one year. It meant the world to me. It makes all the good memories together come back at once.

What about Comedy Clubs? My SO loves when I take her to that or the Vaudeville shows.

How do you and jmc feel about going to these sort of events?

My SO and I don't celebrate this day in the way it should be celebrated (in my favor).

It's her birthday.

We used to go every year around Christmas to see the Nutcracker Ballet. He doesn't mind watching ballets as long as there is an actual story vs just them dancing

I would go...nothing wrong with laughing together.
Its not so much where you go as long as you go together. I see so many of my friends who seem to be living there lives separate from each other. The connection gets lost & that's when temptation usually steps in.

I love ballets but I have a feeling that I'll never be with a man who enjoys watching them

My dad does, but I think my so would feel like he was being tortured if he sat through a whole one. I'll just have to go with girlfriends.

This year was the first year we didn't go see it. I lucked out in that he doesn't mind going to stuff like that with me. He'll go with me to art exhibits and plays and stuff as well.

I also will go with him to sporting events and car shows, etc so it balances out.
