The games during the 90's were boring, most were blow outs. The games since 00 have been closer and more intriguing...

I have a 6 foot groomer on the back of a Montana 60 horse. It still takes all day though by the time I do mine, my grandmother's and then do the lawn mower work around the houses.

But THE GAME meant more than the hype until about the Broncs vs. Pack SB. A GREAT game btw.

It is like nearly EVERYTHING in this country...it has to be BIGGER, FASTER, more involved year after year...Nothing can remain the same...From big to small....EVERYTHING must get MORE! Even the Groundhog thing...I mean what a stupid spectacle it has become...all over something that means NOTHING....
the Olympics? Change it to split up winter and summer so they happen every TWO years instead of four...that way they remain in the public eye more often...The NFL? Start earlier, end later..oh and have the draft and trade deadlines and just everything scheduled out so it is NFL constantly....
This world is starting to suck.

i don't know if it has been this way for the last five plus years and i just haven't noticed it, or if it is just bad this year, but this is just about pomp and circumstance, celebrities, parties, being seen, twittering, facebooking, etc. more at this super bowl than i have ever seen ... hell, even the sportscasters themselves are as big of celebs as the hall of fame players and starlets that are down there .. the people that used to be there to cover the game are now as big of a part of the event as the teams and players themselves ... i guess this is just all a part of the changes in this world that social media has brought upon us ...

so i guess the philosophies at ESPN and CBS are totally different .. harold reynolds hugs a chick that works at ESPN in a way she doesn't like and he gets fired (MLB Network says "thanks a bunch, dumb asses !!), but Dan Marino fricks and knocks up a fellow employee 7 years ago and not only keeps his job, but has actually since gotten a raise ..
