Your problem is with the English, they have already paid the reparations by ceding land back to the Irish. I doubt the Queen would be willing to entertain your grievances. But give it a shot.
Also many Scotch-Irish were granted homesteads in the early years of the United States. Not so much for American blacks.

Also, Irish immigrants weren't exactly friendly towards blacks. For example, they specifically targeted and murdered a bunch of them during the New York Draft riots of 1863.

Race relations will never improve as long as so many politicans keep pouring salt in the wounds for political gain.
Instead of debate, we have grown men and women making baseless claims that their opponents are racists. When that word flys, logic fades away the emotions take over.

Irish slavery was way worse if we are going off how they were treated by their owners. Also why is the fact that most black slaves were sold by other blacks never brought up when slavery is the conversation? Or that a good number of slaves were criminals in Africa?

Why is it always just the black people that are supposed to move on while the white people continue to disparage blacks soley based on the color of thier skin?
I agree that it's time to move on, but you can't get people to move on when they think they don't have anywhere to move from.

I don't. You seem to want me to, though.
And if you personally don't, others certainly do. I remember those "conversations about race" during the Clinton years, which consisted of little more than a-holes like Cornell West explaining to white people why we should all feel guilty for being white.
But my favorite of Cornell and others' brilliant contributions to American culture are the assertions that "anyone who says they aren't racists are racists" and "anyone who says they have black friends are racists." It's like a bunch of a-holes got together and asked each other "Okay, when we accuse people of racism, what are the most common responses? Okay, great. We'll all go around claiming that people who say that are racists."
That's just as evil and destructive as anything any slave master ever did.
