It is a good thing we needed to pass it to see what was in it. The two thousand plus page law already has 13,000 pages plus of regulations to enact/enforce it. But fear not, those that voted for this abortion of law are exempt from enduring that which we peons have as chains to drag us down.

40 million people using emergency rooms for primary care. The major cause of bankruptcy is medical bills. The U.S. consumer pays more for prescriptions than any other in the world. I'm not going to get into all the statistics about we pay more than twice as much per capita than Norway - the second highest in the world. Is this a great system. Everybody is covered. They always have been. Where is the Rep. plan? Premiums going up 20% is not news. Mine have gone up exactly that amount for the past 6 years. No system is perfect, but what we have is just plain stupid. Please tell me how that 40 million going to a doc in a box is not cheaper than an emergency room.

$20,000 on a family of 5 for health care insurance is actually not bad at all. That works out to $4000 per person or $333 per month per person. I don't know how you can even get health care insurance for that cheap right now.

don't know why you say everyone would be fricked. The wealthy will still get the top tier health care that they currently have and everyone else will be covered with the basics. Just like Canada and the UK and most of the rest of the civilized world.

Wtf are you talking about? I have a family of four and we pay a total of four hundred a month, or 4800 a year. You have no clue. That's a 750 deductible with BCBS.
$20,000 for a family of five you think is normal? Seriously, you need to get informed.
You obviously have never bought insurance in your life.

Uh, the article quotes a three or four paragraph block of the IRS regulation pertaining to this. Other posters have posted a link to the IRS site where the regulation can be reviewed. Your limb, it just broke.
