An old propane tank cut in half. Right when wood burning season is ending, but a badass pit nonetheless...

I have no idea what this means. My good friend dabbles in this stuff and I claimed dibs on a half. He cut it in half with a cutting torch I think (If that's what you're asking)

Yep. He's going to cut an adjustable flue in the bottom and weld a foot rest around the sides.

I have a friend who uses the vertical tanks, and a plasma cutter, he cuts patterns out or initials, etc... They work really well. Drill a hole in the bottom for water to drain.

Indeed. I can build some shite with a welding machine
and a metabo. Grinder if I want it to be pretty

OP: metabo is like a grinder with a really thin blade (1/8 inch typically) that spins at a much higher RPM than a standard grinder used to cut through metal. It's easier than cutting with a torch and grinding all the slag off.

You're dude put in some work if he cut that down and grind all that. Looks good.

I went to Academy to buy a pit not long ago and wound up with 640 rounds of 7.62 instead.

Kinda like this?

I have one that only has LSU and no saints stuff. It's built to drop a 28 in stainless steel valve cap in because of where I make my fires but for camps they're work fine as seen.
