Last year we had a 1 or 2 weeks where Gausman, Eades, and Nola were all dealing. Cotton, was tearing it up, Joey B was tearing it up, and Goody was consistently going 3 up 3 down.
Katz was hitting for power, Nola was being clutch, and Rhymes was hitting over .500. Even Hanover was getting clutch hits, and Jacoby was working the count.
That is when I thought we were unbeatable.
The problem was, Eades and Nola's arms wore out, Rhymes cut his hair, Nola lost a little consistency at the plate, and Katz continued to be the power, but struggled vs really good pitching, Jacoby lost his patience, and Hanover lost his consistency.
I still thought we were going to beat Stony Brook. The back to back to back home runs in the first game were one of the best moments in sports I've seen in person. 2 outs, full count, HR. Still 2 outs, 2 strikes, Home RUN!, then 1 more home run for good measure. That game was awesome.
Thank you Jacoby Jones, Tyler Moore, and Mason Katz twice (1 HR, then another RBI).
