For everyone who laughs, explain how next year's team, from top to bottom, won't be at least as talented as the 2006 team if everyone returns?
We had a ton of 5* recruits on that team.

Actually only two. I agree that if JOB3 returns next season, which would give that team two 5* guys, they will be more talented top to bottom than '06. That does not mean that they will make the final four. I'll settle for 20+ wins and a sweet 16 team at this point.

Never said they would make. Said they would be capable of it.

He has 4 straight double doubles, you think if he continues to crank those out he'll stay around? Not saying he will, but he's played like an NBA player recently. If he keeps that up, he will be hard to keep around. He has wanted to make the jump as soon as he got here...

We are bringin' in some serious ballers next year in Martin, Quarterman, and the kid from Texas. We are going to seriously challenge for the SEC Title next year.

He's certainly not ready and he certainly won't be drafted high enough to justify leaving after this year, but he's playing very well and young players tend to make rash decisions.

He needs to be Brandon Bass.

Not so far-fetched. I've been to a half dozen games this year and there were NBA scouts at every one of them. Tonight was the first time this year that some of them were there to see an opponent play. JOB3 is definitely on the NBA's radar. I hope he comes back fwiw.

Taz and Big Baby

Our guard play was horrendous that season. We had a makeshift PG with no depth

Temple was a great defender and knew to not frick up on offense, and Darrel Mitchell says hello.

Plus you're overlooking the boost the team got once Tyrus started figuring out how to play the 4.

No depth? Are you forgetting Ben Voogd, Magnum Rolle, and Darnell Lazare!?!?

I had forgotten Dameon Mason was on that team. I was so pumped when he transferred. Sure wish Gransberry didn't hate Brady, Chris Johnson had put on some muscle, and Tack wasn't an idiot

I guess your right, hope he doesn't go. He just seems to lack the athleticism and skill to jump to the NBA right now. He never really plays "above the rim."

He's not ready right this second, but there's still 11+ games left to be played. If he gets a double in more than 50% of those, he's going to get possibly a good enough grade to want to make the jump.

He's Glen Davis with a worse jumper right now. But as long as the double doubles keep coming, NBA scouts will grade him well.

Maybe. Still think he should pull a Bass and return for another year.

I really don't think this is an apt comparison at all.

A better comparison is Brandon Bass. He didn't have much of an offensive game his first 2 years, either.

But that's my point, very little skill around the rim. Big Baby is so clever around the rim in close. He's a wizard at not getting his shot blocked and using his body to shield. But you're right, if the stats keep coming I guess he may go.

He's like Brandon Bass (but a worse shooter than Bass and little more size) but with the below the rim play of Taz (but actually can dunk whenever he wants unlike Taz).
