Anyone here have pull with FEMA.

The jist is FEMA wants to recoup a 2,000 Katrina payment. I meet the criteria to have it waived but the catch is they didn't tell me I had the debt until after the deadline to have it waived. They have since admitted that they were sending all the corresposndence to the wrong address but either way they turned it over to Treasury. Treasury has told me i'm guilty until proven innocent and must pay. Any help will be appreciated.

frick that shite. The last thing I'd do is just hand the government over money. What takes you 15 minutes to give, takes them 6 months to return.
