Calderon is actually a pretty solid player. His PER is close to 20 and he shoots 43% from 3.

"Magnum" Maggette for Calderon is a steal. Seems like a contender would have given up a little something extra + expirings for Calderon.

i don't cant calderon on the mavs so that collison's fantasy value stays high, but calderon is an AWESOME point guard
he just gets hurt sometimes

I figured they'd rather Maggette because he's expiring and Prince still has two more years left on his deal at almost 7 mil per. Unless its not guaranteed, I dont know why Memphis would want Prince for 2 more years at that price

The deal with Maggette works perfectly, money-wise. With Prince there would need to be more parts invloved

So it's looking like Memphis replaces Gay with Prince,  at those names, and then gets Davis as well to supplement their depth? Not a bad trade if that's the case. If they only get davis then it's stupid

Stein says it's Prince and Austin Daye to Grizzlies for Calderon.
I think the Grizzlies did pretty good in these deals. I really like Ed Davis, though, and I don't like Rudy Gay.
