I don't see what's so wrong about saying it. Dude was this close to losing the leg altogether. Obviously you can recover from it, but the chances of getting it back to the shape it was in before the wreck are slim to none. I think Eiffel he really wants to stay the football route, his best bet would be to bulk up and try and play linebacker. He was much better at LSU when he was blitzing from the edge as opposes to dropping back in coverage anyway. But, I think baseball is his best bet. He's a lefty that can throw a low 90s fastball and has a good breaking ball, that's very valuable to teams.
Look, I hope he proves me wrong and will be the first to admit I was wrong if he does, but I just don't see this being the fairy tale ending that everyone is hoping for.

Best of luck to him. From almost dead, to almost losing a leg, to an NFL tryout. Great young man and great Tiger.
