Bull shite Troll.

You guys must not follow td.com very much. Most of the best information comes from a poster that signs up just to talk about a specific topic. Many times, these people with very few posts are in the know.

There are two of those in this thread.

Just sayin.

I guess Les is just being "deceptively honest".

Here's what his coach said (taken from a pay site and I'm paraphrasing)

Either they're after somebody or feel they're going to get somebody here in the next week to squeeze him in - his coach promises Lawson is going to qualify - his coach further went on to say he's done everything since last spring to put himself in position to qualify.

If you can figure this out, good luck!

It's pretty simple, if Lawson signs with another school and passes NCAA clearinghouse, then we know that the "clearing house" excuse given for the official response from LSU is a lie.

Am I incorrect on that?

Yes, if he is cleared at some future time, that does not mean it was not a concern for LSU at this moment in time. If he signs an LOI and doesn't qualify, they can't back fill that spot, that's much riskier for LSU than say ULL or USM.

H-Town and Redfield, thanks for the replies, but I'll leave it at this...

Has LSU reached the scholarship limit? I haven't heard anything about LSU being over the limit. I'm not aware of any "undecided" prospects out there and LSU just lost one commitment as a grade casualty yesterday from this recruiting class.

This scenario seems most likely to me at this point...if the kid knows he's going to clear then why not take the greyshirt offer until then

as has been pointed out, if you let a risky kid sign an LOI, and he doesn't qualify, that LOI is gone forever. With the load of talent available next season, it's better to hold on to it.

I don't know the answer. Maybe the kid can't afford a semester of college?

But I'd imagine that if LSU is not in danger of oversigning, and yet they still ask a kid to greyshirt then the kid probably would feel lied to and unwanted.

247 says that chances of him coming here are slim to none now..

..really dont think hes that big of a loss. grade risk and an underachiever at times.
wish him the best at ULL, USM, etc though..

I don't think anyone on this board has any inside info.

Just people who know how to google or pay for the information.
