For those that have asked if there is anywhere to go in and around BR, you just have to find the right place.

Caught this 19" one this morning before work.

University lakes had the 2nd bass in the state back in the 90's. Friend of mine caught more than 10 bass that weighed over 10 lbs.

What caused it to go down so quickly? I fished there a bit when I was in school there in the late 90's/early 00's, and didn't think it was anything special.

Caught many bass there a couple years ago. Biggest was only a little under 5 though. Good place to mess around in a yak.

Just getting shallow from silt. Needs to be dredged but no one wants to fork over the money.

Never had any 10s in LSU lakes, but I had bunch in the 6# range. That stretch across from Tri delt house was pretty good to me.

I caught them good in the late 80s and early 90s, but if it was not February, I was not catching shite.

Not sure. Maybe it was being over fished. The guy that caught the big bass released them all near his house in Prarieville. Also surprisingly enough he caught most of them in that little lake on the west side of Dalrymple going into campus.

Yeah that little pond was pretty good several years ago, i caught one just over 6 lbs in there.Never caught anything over 3 lbs in the other lakes, and never more than 5 in one day.

As far as I know, they still are. I've been wanting to go, but haven't had the time lately. I'm still waiting on a report from someone.

I was down for Xmas and went out in a buddy's kayak. Caught 3 on the fly rod really early when it was cold. black wooly buggers. Released them all

I never fished the small lake. I was fishing the lake that 10 crosses and a friend caught 2 8 lbers back to back off the same cypress tree. I was pissed. I have never caught one bigger than 5 lbs.

Man i wish they would spend the money on that lake and manage it, would be an awesome place if so. I have not fished it in years, too many other places to go local to catch more fish and without the LDWLF checking you every hour..
