mine came today...I must say with free shipping and the deal I got...I am very impressed...
anyone know if these are water resistant or waterproof?
the zippers don't look it...
was looking to throw the load out on a hitch haul cargo rack ... on the wife's Tahoe and hope things would stay dry...
may have to get some of that ultra ever dry...

Just wrap the bags with a blue tarp, with everything bungied underneath, and you'll be fine.

Mine FINALLY came in yesterday.
Anybody get a TSA lock with the smaller of the 2 bags? If so, where was it? I see the lock for the rolling bag, but I'll be damned if I can find the one for the smaller one. And, I'm not convinced a pair of boots will fit in each of those end pockets, but I'm going to find out in about 90 days.
Also, the guys saying these are huge are crazy - I was expecting a gargantuan rolling bag. Maybe it's because I've hauled bags like these from here to Kosovo, to Kuwait City, to Tikrit and back that I'm "unimpressed" by the size of the big bag.
Quality is A+ though - I'm so glad this deal came up because I was about to pull the trigger on another rolling monster duffel that would have been $25 more than the big bag and about 1/2 the quality.

My son has a side zip duffel - no frills, 1 compartment, a side handle and 2 end handles. It is old school canvas - fully loaded, 2 people can't lift it. THAT's a gargantuan bag.
This load out is just the right size that they'll check it and put it on the plane without charging you extra (IF you keep it under 50 pounds.) I'm cool with that even though I don't fly anymore (and why I was in the market for a bag to begin with).

I received my bags a few days ago.
They are very nice.
A bit larger than I anticipated, but not overly huge.
The rolling one is suhweet.
Now, as to the post a bit above mine.
The smaller of the two bags did not come with TSA locks as indicated on the website.
I emailed LBT, and within a few minutes, I had a gentleman respond, and he told me that he would get the lock out to me.
Excellent quality kit, and you can't beat the price.
Like what was previously said, buying something you don't need is the American way.

Only the roller bag comes with a lock. Roller bag empty weighs 16 lbs and the duffel weighs 6 lbs.
