I'm not sure what "engine of war" is supposed to mean. It's the fricking military, and contrary to the navy commercials, their primary intention is not to spread goodwill and give aid to african countries.

She says, U.S. Military “Despised As An Engine Of War" Yet she fails to report on the CIC Obamas hypocrisy of being a war president.
having thoughts that don't make sense is not being hypocritical.

Illegal immigrants are the perfect constituency for the Left. These folks welcome Big FedGov handing out free healthcare, free food and free shelter. These folks will always vote for Big FedGov, and that's why there will always be open borders here in the USA.
Interesting...except for the very important fact they can't vote nor can they receive welfare...and it's my experience that illegals tend to be hard working, it's why they risked their lives to get here crossing the "open border".

It was sarcasm. The commies and the illegal immigrants have been the bogeymen of the republican party for decades. Add gays and baby killers to round things out.
I understood your point somewhat, but, I don't agree that it's a valid point. Your brief comment was a borderline non sequitur.

Once these folks are able to vote and get welfare, they are going to support a Big FedGov agenda. They are not going to be small government Tea Party members. That's my point.

Silly assumption....but may be right for other reasons, namely the Republican Party's unconstructive alienation of the Hispanic voter by offering no meaningful solution to the immigration issue other than Gestapo tactics. The Hispanic community is not a monolith like the blacks, however, republicans are doing their best to frick it up.

blueboy, we will have to agree to disagree. I don't agree with any of your counterpoints. Time will tell. You write as though a political effort to isolate the civilian populace from vets and military personnel is impossible nonsense that will never happen. You write as though the Left would never attempt such a thing, even if they thought it would serve their political purposes. You write as though your vision of the future is assured and certain. No wise man would ever write the future with such certainty. If the US military is ever going to be used for the purpose of disarming the civilian populace, the traditional bond between civilian society and military society must first be frayed or fractured. blueboy cannot know for certain when only time will tell.
