Not quite that high.

You can buy the CR123 batteries on Amazon for ~$2 each - which is still higher than AA's. But the CR123's have a shelf life of ~ 10 years. In some houses that saves racing to Home Depot every time a hurricane warning is issued.

Surefire = really great lights. But I haven't ever liked the switches on their weapon lights.

Streamlight TLR1 = best I've found for a handgun.
