Yea. One of my friends who's a fitness guy has been calling it sugar water since it came out. He posted the link about the law suit on facebook whenever it began and made sure to remind everyone that that's what he's been calling it for years.

Someone posted a link once that compared the amount of sugar in different things with pictures

It had a bottle of vitamin water next to a big mound of ice cream that had the equivalent amount of sugar

Pretty interesting

Jeez, that's terrible.

I always trusted Fiddy Cent. I feel violated.

Two of my favorites are the Pimms cup at Napolean House and the hurricane at Cafe Pontalba

Hmmm, I was there about an hour earlier and bailed before it got crazy. I'm more of the early evening crowd there. Although I am not Randy ("Book of Knowledge" with the ponytail), Arden (the other middle aged guy with the ponytail, the little hairdresser Randy, Ray the welder or Doug the PhD microbiologist with the tats and black socks.

i had the best old fashioned at Cure

I've drank a lot of old fashioneds around town and Cure's has been my favorite. I can still make a better one at home though. Some places make them and they're down right awful (looking at you Bouligny Tavern).

Speaking of Bulleit there is a pretty good drink at Pal's with Bulleit, Pumpkin Licour, and topped with nutmeg.

You have to be in the mood for that sort of drink but it's a good fall/winter drink

thanks for the heads up that sounds right in my wheelhouse.

Damn dude you know all those cats? I recognize people as regulars but never talk to many of them except during baseball season there's a guy there (bigger guy) who's a big Cardinals fan and we usually chat if there's a game on.

I've only had it once but I remember enjoying it. I was with this guy that I used to work with and he asked if he could taste it.

He took a sip and said "Yep, definitely a fig drink. Now I'm going to go get another high life and I don't care if they pour it in a dirty glass"

On that note I take back 40% of whatever terrible shite I said about you at one point or another

No hand grenade?

It's good for getting you wasted and that's about it

I think we're talking about taste and enjoyment of the individual beverage as opposed to getting drunk and showing your tits for beads
