List is horribly incomplete without the Good Life aka Good Neighbors.

I feel like there was supposed to be a joke in there somewhere that I didn't get.

The Sharpe (TV series) with Sean Bean (Boromir in The Lord of the Rings, Odysseus in Troy) is well worth a look.
The first episode is Sharpe's Rifles, which you can watch in full on youtube. I've been able to find all of the episodes on youtube.

Sherlock obviously
Foyle's War is great.
Inspector George Gentley is as well.
Both come on PBS every wk, foyle's war thurs nights and George Gentley on Sundays.
Inspector Lewis is also really good on PBS but not sure when it airs regularly.

Well I didn't say THAT. I didn't make the big black cock comparison. Mandingo is a pretty funny name.

Broadchurch should be good. On ITV in the UK, BBCA in the US.

I'm looking forward to Orphan Black.
What was the name of the show where the hs kid was an angel and there were undead minions killing his town? Only one season but was very solid.

I'm really fascinated by British shite now and would love to visit over there.
Good find! Never even heard of this one.
I forgot about George Gently. I enjoyed that one as well. It looks like we have the same taste in shows.
Got rid of cable, and I don't have a DVR or anything like that, so I'm looking forward to seeing:
Copper
Broadchurch
Orphan Black
Ripper Street
Prime Suspect
And a show that I only caught one episode of, but can't remember the damn name, was about a high school, and maybe had "Street" in the name? Anyone know?

Foyle's War and Midsomer are on PBS right now and Inspector George Gently, DCI Banks and Death in Paradise are all on Sunday nights after Downton Abbey.
Prime Suspect is airing right now and Doc Martin will be back. A lot of the BBC series will show up on PBS.
I wish BBC would replay Coupling--that was so funny. A lot of those actors have nice careers now.
I loved Life on Mars and saw almost all of the Ashes to Ashes. episodes.

What MacGyver is to us, Sharpe is to the Brits.

No, I found it. The name of the show is Waterloo Road. I caught only one or two episodes on BBCA when I had cable, late one night, but I was impressed.
Watched Series 1 of Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren on Netflix last night. Good show.
21 Jump Street was American, and was Johnny Depp's launching pad to success.

I'm going to throw Fawlty Towers out there.
If you haven't seen this show, go find it. Best british show of all time.
John Cleese nails this one.
