His recruitment process wasn't really bad. I believe his decision went down to the wire. It's not like he pulled a Toshiro Davis.

Agreed. It's nuts how fast his twitter following is melting away though. I wonder how many he is left with at the end. ASU folks might unfollow as well.

People are too wrapped up, he picked a D1 school from a BCS conference, he will get TV exposure and if he can play at the next level then he will be drafted highly.
shite it isn't like he picked some shitty school in a shitty conference like ULL over LSU

Wonder what school his step dad was talking about when he said "they didn't take the news real well" and that his step son "had to choose just one school". Hope it wasn't us. Would have been great to get him but he had his reasons to choose UCLA.

Agreed that you want the ones that really want to go here. We've done real well with out of state kids and it was between us and UCLA so we were close to getting him. Time to move on....

I've never been a highly touted recruit (obviously), but I just can't understand what makes a guy pick a school like UCLA over LSU. What do they have that we don't, other than being in LA?
Really?

UCLA has a former NFL Head Coach & DC, they are also vastly superior school.

I think he's at -400 followers. I have to see how low it goes.

Also, I know a guy who got a Ph.D. from UCLA and he's now an academic scrub.

I understand the NFL coach thing but most of these kids are getting their PhD in football not academics. They could care less about school.

Most end up selling insurance or teaching gym at their local middle school. If you're a good student in HS then academics are most likely going to be a pretty big factor in where you choose to go to school.

I'm not sure how many people on here have been to UCLA before, but their campus is amazing. Can't fault the kid for choosing to go there
