The congressmen/women have had jobs to perform. Hillary has had time and staff to devote entirely to this dog n pony show. The Dems were there to praise her and throw out the "political attack" mantra. The Rep asked some tough questions, and were stonewalled until their time was up. This buys more time for the "staff" to prepare the written responses in a way to further DELAY any possibility of the TRUTH. With the media's help it will fade away, until her run in 2016. Then the media will say it's politically motivated, rather than about character.

No doubt about that. Oversight of the executive branch is one of those jobs. Passing a budget is another. Their performance is exactly what I am bringing into question.

Agree completely. My point is that Hillary is purposely making this about her and not the actual event and the following cover up. Politically it is brilliant and working like a charm. Morally and ethically.....not so much.

That is one reason.
Another is that this is all a show motivated by politics. I would give a lot just to see one STATESMAN again. The letter or lack thereof beside his or her name would not matter to me.

I ask the Libs on here: Do you REALLY believe that the flippin SECRETARY OF STATE did NOT see the security cables. This and her claims that the security was lax because of congressional budget cuts are lies.
To get back to the original post: Madame Secretary, it is important to find out the real reason for all the obfuscation about the cause of the attack. You will never admit it but it was because we were weeks before the election and that dadgum attack just didn't fit into the narrative of BOH's historic destruction of Al Queda. Shame on the MSM for not drumming the current administaration as they would have a GOP administration. Are you Libs really comfortable with this? Honestly?

Also, if the airline the plane belonged to tried to put itself in a better light by making up claims as to why the plane crashed to protect it's image, to me makes a difference also.

I don't think you meant to make the comparison, but could you imagine the gnashing of teeth if the Bush administration had made that argument in Congressional hearings following this little event?
