Just saying theres a million things that can kick a pelicans arse. I believe hornets to be an aweful name too. Give me a badass animal or something that can win a bar fight.

Yes! I like the name. It is the state bird and is on the flag. Besides the Fleur De Lis, I can't think of another symbol of the state besides the Pelican.

I love people who say they would have preferred "x name" better so they don't like pelicans. What a childish reason. The chances of it be ing the one name you like is slim no none.
