Haven't played it, but I've heard good things. It and ALttP are both generally held in pretty high regard among fans of the series.

I'm not so much of an awakening fan. It's good, but easily overshadowed by some of the better games in the series.

I've heard that Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are alright. People aren't gushing over them, but I haven't really heard anything bad about them.

I meant to say Zelda II Adventures of Link actually. Most people disliked that but I loved it.

Loved TP, hated SS. Controls were poor and Fi wouldn't shut the frick up. And of course there is that face you make when you start replaying the game, make it just to the boss of the swamp dungeon with time running out and then realize you forgot to play the slow time song at the beginning of the session

PH was good but got repitive with the fricking ocean king temple after every dungeon. ST was better in that regard

Dude I agree and I've 100%'d Twilight Princess, but there are a lot of people that didn't like the game because Ganon got brought in at the end. But don't dis Wind Waker. That game was legit as frick.
TP is a great game, but it just tries to hard to be Ocarina and brings nothing new to the table. I hate that Ganondorf was brought in and he had no business being in this story. Zant should have been the main villain, not him. The Triforce didn't have anything to do with the story, so when that's the case, don't go with Ganon as your villain.

Ummm...me thinks you are confused. You start of talking about Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, then without introduction you jump into a Majora's Mask story as if it were one of the two games you were already talking abiout (which it is not).

I liked the progression of the dungeon where what you learned let you get through the parts you already passed quicker though. And PH had the great "frick I'm dumb..." moment at the end of the (I think) first main dungeon where you had to copy the map on the stone.

Completely. Seriously, what new did it bring to the series? Lets look at the other games and what they brought to the table: 1) Legend of Zelda- first exploration game, first quest game, introduced dungeon concept 2) The Adventure of Link- side scrolling (ok this sucks) 3) A Link to the Past- basic structure of the series, Light and Dark Worlds 4) Ocarina of Time- Brought Zelda to 3D, developed z-targeting system, introduced music to improve gameplay, first game to manipulate time. 5) Majora's Mask- introduced time system that is heavily intricate, introduces side quests, introduced transformations 6) Wind Waker- cell shaded graphics, large over world with much to do, additional weapon usage 7) Skyward Sword- true motion controls, reduction of temple use and more focus on over world design, hub level. 8) Twilight Princess- play as a wolf..... and that's really it.

Way to short change the game.

Exactly. Leave out a completely different back-story for Link, and the Twilight Realm, and an entirely new kingdom, and a brand new enemy, and a new princess, and brand new items (spinner, double claw shot). BTW, @ you saying MM introduced sidequests. I think you need to play OoT again.

Once you got to the point where you could switch back between Link and the wolf, a whole new game opened up. And even though they weren't that great, first one with motion controls. And let's not forget that this was FINALLY the more adult, non cartoony Zelda game that everyone had been asking for.
