In the past week I've seen Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty, Django Unchained (for the second time), Reservoir Dogs, and Looper. I consider these all to be fan-freaking-tastic movies, and I don't want to break this streak now.

What movies, in theaters or redbox, do I need to watch? Is Les Miserables worth it? Is the Impossible that good? Should I be pissed at redbox for being out of copies of Bernie?

You've hit all the Oscar screeners. Seen The Hobbit or Argo yet? Both were great movies.

End of Watch?

Seen neither. The Hobbit I'm a bit hesitant because I've neither read any of the books nor seen any of the movies...I know I suck.

I REALLY want to see Argo, especially after it won two (check me on that) GG's. But I don't think it's in redbox : |

The Hobbit can be viewed as a standalone movie. You really don't need much prior knowledge, although it'd help a little. End of Watch is a gritty cop movie that I really enjoyed. Can't go wrong with that one.

That being said, Argo is a FANTASTIC movie. I'd highly recommend seeing it if its still in a dollar theatre around you.

Les Mis only if you really like musicals.

Moonrise Kingdom and Beasts of the Southern Wild are solid choices though a bit eclectic.

The Impossible is REALLY good. As far as the realistic factor if nothing else. Naomi Watts was fantastic in it.

Also, Hitchcock was a dang good movie if you're a fan of his. Plus it's got Scarlet Johannsen and Jessica Biel, so that doesn't hurt.
