the republicans will always do better in the mid terms b.c they are whiter, older and richer. Those demos are more likely to vote every cycle than the younger, browner, poor demogrpahics. The republicans will probalby pick up a few house seats but I doubt they grab control over the senate. And if they do it will be 51-49. And the 2014 map is favorable for them.

Freedom does sell, they need to work on their salesmanship though. The republicans come off as racist, small minded fricks. By all rights, I should be a republican - upper income, pro gun, pro smaller gov't, anti tax. But I am not a republican, why is that? The republican party doesn't sell those things, it sells christian crap which I won't buy.

The GOP has to learn how to represent all of America. Romney's 47% comment is the single most damaging statement I've heard anyone from the GOP make. And what's sad is most Republicans agree with him. That's the core of the problem. That so called 47% is not going away. Growth can be a bitch!

And that is actually the real issue. The country ultimately suffered under Bush in a massive way. The country entrusted the democrat party to fix the mess. Have they fixed the mess? Well, financially the country is still suffering, unemployment is still high, civil liberties have been further eroded, while we are effectively out of Iraq...Afghanistan is still going on and we are launching attacks all over the globe (breeding more terrorists who hate the US), we have a horrible health care mandate that results in higher taxes for everyone, we have a horrible business environment and the list goes on. No rational person could state that leadership since 2008 under the democrats has been good for the country. The only argument is that it has been better than the alternative would have been under McCain, and now Romney. That, of course, is debateable as well, but the country has chosen the status quo by way of their votes.

But you know, life is not easy. Whether the economy is good or bad I have to get up everyday and accomplish something good for my customers that increases their market share. It's the only way I get paid. Our politicians need to be paid on job performance and prevented receiving any lobbyist money. Then they might be motivated to work together.

I agree with this! Represent and work for the people not the special interest groups.
