Well ESPN basically shut down when Ray Lewis decided to retire, so if they over-covered it a backlash is to be expected.
Gonzalez is getting a fraction of the love Lewis received and he, by all accounts, is a stand up guy (or just hasn't been caught yet).

I've met Gonzalez a few times. He is the same dude that you see in the interviews. Down to earth and cool as hell.
