I agree. We needed to change over the core of the team.

Between 01/09 and the heartbreaking loss to Bama this year, I think the baggage on that for group was too much.

Just start anew.

i feel the same way about our fans.

I know some LSU faithful hate Guilbeau because he will bash LSU Football when appropriate. Funny thing about the Truth, it sometimes hurts. But just because it hurts doesn't make it any less the Truth.

Looked like a well thought out and written article.

Don't usually agree with Guilbeau but this makes a lot of sense.

It makes no stupid sense.

He compared a 13-1 team to a 10-3 team, and said the 13-1 year had better stats, so its not really a big deal to lose the guys that helped us get to 13-1, because their stats fell during the 10-3 year

The guy is an idiot. Are you?

Stats aren't the only thing that leads a team to go 13-1. The players didn't play up to their potential this year. They looked a lot better than in 2012, so maybe it was time for them to move on. What is difficult to understand about that?

A great distillation of what so many so-called "negatigers" have been saying and getting bashed unmercifully for saying here. Sunshine Pumper Tolerance levels are quite low when reality enters the picture.

It seems like when one of our players has an all conference year, they slack off since they've gotten the nfl's attention.

I know many don't like to hear it, but Saban's players don't react this way.

Really? Most of the "negatigers" were blaming Miles and Stud for everything ... player performance was never questioned.

I can understand where he is coming from. I enjoyed all the players who are leaving, but you do wonder if some guys weren't just biding time for the next step.
