Haven't we done Shep to death? He will not make it in the NFL. With all of his speed and elusiveness, why didn't he return kicks of punts? Answer: he lacked physicality. As a receiver, he struggled getting off the line, and his hands were not reliable; the kid should have gone to a place like Georgia Tech where they ran the option. He was not good enough to start at LSU which lacked quality receivers; do you think he can make it in the NFL?
I was content to just lurk and read, but this has got to be the dumbest post I've seen in a while. Let me ask you a question DA. Do you honestly think CLM is a decent evaluator of offensive skill players with his offensive record? Russell Shepard made the worst possible decision of his young life in coming to LSU. He would've been a superstar at Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma St., the list goes on and on. He'll be a great pro and the wool will be further pulled from a lot of eyes. Geaux RS10!

Did you not watch RS for the past 4 years?!?! Stone hands, no ability to make defenders miss, no physicality whatsoever, fumbled too much. He won't play a down in the NFL.

NO, but maybe at a La Tech or N Texas St. he could have gotton the PT he needed to truely develop his WR skills.

Bruh, I love Shep, but he isn't really fast( got ran down numerous times by larger players), he has ZERO ELUSIVENESS( he rarely juked anyone), he had nearly zero yards after contact, wasn't a good route runner, and has below avg hands. He would not have done any diff

LSUeddie, if you're right he'll kill it in the NFL. I'll save you the wait, he won't. I read an article this morning (no link bc IDGAF) that described RS' performance in the senior game. It said he did next to nothing, but he got the ball on a reverse with the long sought chance to throw it!! However, he tripped and fell and lost yardage. A perfect metaphor for his career!
