not really directed at you, but the general mindset that it's okay in college but not in the pros is retarded.

That's not true at all. The SEC being strong is great for LSU because it makes their wins look better, and in a sport based on polls that's very important. I dont give a damn if ATL, CAR and TB all win 2 games, the saints still have to play their way to the title.

PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL = Guys from all over the place

SOUTHEASTERN FOOTBALL = Southern boys. More local connections in college/high school.

When it comes to pulling for hmm a southeastern team or some fricking yankee, west coaster in a bowl game it comes completely natural to pull for your neighbor/brethren. Maybe not to you.. but to me it does. Now I agree frick Bama at all times.. but for the most part it just comes natural to root for who is closest.. in any competition.. unless they truly are a buch of pricks.

In professional football the ties are not the same. There are also playoffs.

The SEC is all about respect. There is no reason to respect any other team in the NFL division. Especially fricking Atlanta.
