That's a tad bit different. LeBron shoots a high percentage because he's a much more talented perimeter player than everyone else and can get to the rim off the drive easier than anyone else in the league. He's not Tyson fricking chandler.

Exactly. I was just pointing out how much more efficient LBJ is.

So compare one game? Ok...let me go find a game where shaq went 80 or 90 percent...my point is over the long Haul ...comparing Kobe and lebron statwise doesn't fit. Nevermind.

It doesn't fit because LBJ is a more efficient player.

The sad thing is Kobe has a better supporting cast offensively.

Ummmm not even close. Heat are way better. Lakers have one of the worst benches in the league.

Who did Lebron just run to go talk to after his interview?
Shaq

And for some reason Shaq held/squeezed LBJ & bit him

He's been a largely perimeter based player throughout his career that lives with the ball in his hands. Kobe is a much better comp for him offensively career-wise than a solely low post player. Nevermind

So doing a barrel roll on the ground isn't a travel? Ok.

It wasn't a travel. He didn't have possession of the ball.

Exactly Kobe has always been a volume shooter that doesn't make his teammates better. LBJ is an efficient scorer that make his teammates much better.

The Lakers won't make the playoffs.

I feel like they will make it if they play like this (minus bad shooting nights) the rest of the season

They played better on the whole tonight IMO

They really didn't. They played some really terrible defense. No resistance at the rim. If the Heat made their open shots like they usually do, they win by 20-25. Offensively they were fine, but that's usually the case. It's their defense that can't get itself together.

Narrowminded viewpoint. Better allaround players do not always make for a better unit. Phil Jackson assembled winners by filling roles....one of which has always been a volume shooter.

Jordan is a different beast. Jordan shot the ball at a 50% clip. Kobe shoots it at 45%. Jordan was a much more efficient player.

Are you serious? Phil Jackson won championships because he had 2 of the most efficient players of all time Shaq and MJ.

In otherwords...plugging lebron in kobes spot during the lakers run isn't a sure 5 titles... anymore than plugging Kobe in lbjs spot would have won it last year. Roles...unity... its how Dallas outplayed the effecient Lbj in the finals.

Taking into account FTs and 3pt extra worth, it's closer, but Jordan and LeBron are just better than Kobe.

TS%
Jordan: 56.9%
LeBron: 57.1%
Kobe: 55.5%

It doesn't seem like much on its face, but when you shoot as many shots as these guys do, that extra 1.5% makes a big difference over time.

There's no room for the term different beast when you're talking stats and effectiveness. You cant have it both ways...

That crazy talk. Kobe doesn't sniff a ring with last years Heat team minus LBJ. And you think if LBJ had Shaq in his prime he wouldn't have won. Or the best PF/C combo in the league in Pau/Bynum. Your delusional. Do you honestly think Kobe is on LBJ's level?
