Well, that was last night, so let me see if I can remember. The question was outrage over drones. I said I thought it was horrible (because of the loss of innocent life). I then made the point, however, that innocent life was also lost at the end of WWII. Certainly, one can make an argument that one action is more justifiable than the other. Nevertheless, both involve loss of innocent lives. It's not that complicated.

On the specific use of drones in Afghanistan, if it is determined that we still need to take out certain Taliban elements and it can be done using drones rather than the use of massive ground troops (with its costs and casualties), drones may make sense. And yes, the loss of innocent lives sucks and is horrible.
