Exactly. We've regressed the last 5 games. There are only so many winnable games on our SEC slate and we've shite the bed on 2 of them already.
Sloppy and undisciplined performance tonight and we still had a chance to win at the end and Hickey who was uncharacteristically ball hogging tonight finally passes it and it's to JOB3 for a 3. Man that was terrible.
We have another winnable game up next against Georgia.....who sucks. Let's see if we can actually show some progress and improvement and end this garbage stretch we've been putting out there.

We are talking about a guy who all but said he wasn't planning on staying at LSU for more than the 1 required year. We heard the term "raw" all last year. He shouldn't still be raw 20 months out of high school.

Lot's of dribbling, not enough passing and player movement. It was more pronounced this game than any.
We had some 3's dropped that keyed some runs but even some of those were not what i'd call good shots.
I'll judge next year on it's own terms, but there's ball left to be played this year.
Kudos for the recruiting and the up-tempo, but no excuse for this crap right now.

Despite outrebounding them (offensive and defensive), we weren't able to get much going with some very uncharacteristic turnovers (4 from Hickey). We were down 8 or so with a few minutes before half and closed it to a 2 pt game. JOB3 was not as bad as everyone said. He made some good moves and got some buckets. Still not playing up to potential, but better than the past two games.
We got cold right at the end of the last few minutes of 2nd half and couldn't make open shots in OT. Also, that Venezuelan looked goofy, but could shoot the ball pretty well.
Edit: I also think we used a few new plays and formations this game to counter our troubles against zone. At least, I thought we were running some new sets.

That is comically bad, he's supposed to be our #2 ball handler.
I think this was a factor. I'm sure he'll turn out ok, but with a close game and a much needed win, even with Hickey's 4 fouls, he should have gone with a different player, especially after the first turn over.
