The " girlfriend" thing always did seem like a stretch. Whether or not this person exists idk but it wasn't much of a relationship.

What if Lennay wasn't her birth-given first name? That fricks up about most of Deadspin's "research".
I'm gonna give the guy the benefit of the doubt. But it's a really weird story if true.
