"We're restricted and prohibited from enforcing all types of federal laws, including immigration laws," he said Tuesday.

Is this a true statement?

Ex) Say they pass a law restricting the number of rounds in a magazine to 10, and I get pulled over by a cop (in Louisiana) and let him know I am concealed carrying and I've got 12 rounds in the mag. Would I get ticketed?

Good to see you, bro!

They're referred to as "rounds." The bullet is just the part of the round that leaves the barrel, along with the burnt powder.

It's yet-to-be-determined. But, we live in a very conservative state and I don't see anything happening here. Especially since we just passed that amendment in our state constitution. I hope it comes in handy.

It's my understanding that state and local officers are not required to enforce federal law.

Agreed.

And seeing how big of an NRA supporter Jindal is, I truly believe LA will be just fine.

The country is so divided at this point, I doubt any southern state will follow NY and their new terrible gun laws.

I know we don't technically count as a southern state, but there has been no talk of changing any state laws here.

The Fed's have made a big deal the last few years about local law enforcing federal immigration policies, which hopefully will come back to bite the feds with these horseshite gun laws.

"If a federal official comes into the state of Texas to enforce the federal executive order, that person is subject to criminal prosecution," Toth told 1200 WOAI's Joe Pags Tuesday. He says his bill would make attempting to enforce a federal gun ban in Texas punishable by a $50,000 fine and up to five years in prison.
