Borderlands 1/2
Left 4 Dead 1/2
Dead Island

What are some others?

I've read a lot on the Far Cry series. Is that one co-op? I've read 2 sucks so I'd probably right for 3.

Portal 2 but the co-op for it is short.

I thought Portal was co-op. Is it an open world style?

I'd imagine games like Halo and COD co-op missions are more linear, no? Not that I'm dismissing them. Just curious. Probably looking for something more open world.

Short probably wouldn't be a huge issue with the limited time I have. Short as in 6 hours play time or...?

Portal is not close to open world. It is linear since it is solving puzzles.

I am not sure of the total time but me and KennyLSU did the co-op in 2 nights.

Halo and CoD would be linear too. Saints Row 3 is open world if you are looking for that.

The co-op in Portal 2 is longer than the first game altogether, which was still pretty short. If you or your partner are kind of slow on the puzzles, the playtime could extend to a couple of months at least

They released free DLC for it a while back. Not sure if the box got that since it's through Steam. PS3 was fortunate in that regards. Kind of disappointed with the DLC for this game. The one add-on they did was pretty fun, but they've done nothing since. Borderlands 2 was a much more involved game as far as scale, and it's about to launch it's 3rd DLC.
