We could easily get Adam Taylor from TX, but we arent taking a RB this year. Overall, it is not a stellar year for TX recruits

And I'm just raising it for discussion, rather than an alarm. We sometimes take just 1 from Texas In this class we have an Illinois recruit that is a nationally ranked player - arguably the best in the class (although White is becoming the consensus #1 rated player) - and how many players have we taken from the State of Illinois? Right now, I wouldn't trade Pocic for any number of Texas players for which we were in the hunt.

Conmbination of it being a somewhat down year in Texas and us just not generating a ton of interest from the guys we did want

JT Barrett-we finished 2nd to OSU and I think we did better

Kyrion Parker-we had no issue letting him leave and could probably have him now if we wanted

Dontre Wilson-never showed much interest

Ricky Seals Jones-we just lost

Derrick Griffen-grades and still not over

Justin Manning-too erratic

Deondrei Davis-Texas happened

The other 2 LBs committed to TAM that we wanted as FBs

I'm sure there are a couple others I'm forgetting but we just didn't press many Texas kids this year. Have no fear though, we're all over Texas for '14 and will land at least 2-3 even with the loaded LA group
