The boy and I caught this a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good. The ending was pretty cool too.

in all fairness - i put infinite more stock in what you guys post about films on here than I do any review articl/site.

ill have to check it out based ont he responses.

and I will conceed - the 1st 3 were terrible - jarJar + Kid Humor + Hayden Christiensen (or however its spelled) = recipe for terrible films.

JC was better than I expected it to be. I wasn't interested in it all, but I had nothing else to do one evening so my brother and I watched it in theaters. I was pleasantly surprised.

eta

And frankly I don't know why SW1-3 get shite on so hard. Are they as good as 4-6? no.. but I do enjoy watching them whenever they are on TV.

I loved John Carter.

I do agree it was marketed terribly.

Totally agree with you and others. Marketing for this movie was terrible.

Was pleasantly surprised when I did catch it.

Hulk, I don't dislike the movies - in fact i like them, and think they could have been a bit better.

its the Jar Jar character - it was honestly unneeded, and a failed attempt at humor.

the childish Humor that was infused to make it more kid friendly could have been left out - it wasn;t in the origionals, and i think the origionals suffered from it somewhat.

Hayden Christenson (i never spell it right) i think was the biggest issue with the last 2 prequels. he came across as overy whiny, and was just plain aweful onscreen. there was 0 chemestry between his character and that of Amidala. he was misscast, and i felt he drug the prequels down some as well.
