Benelli manual and website recommends cylinder IIRC, but the gun doesn't come with that one, and I believe I read you can use IC for slugs. That's what I put in when I load slugs, but I've never actually fired one. Just did a few swamp hunts where I had them in and didn't see a deer.

my sbe came with the cyl choke, improved, mod, improved-mod, and full. i've shot slugs once out of the improved without any problem but i wouldn't do it again.
i put a 22" smooth bore cyl barrel, ported with sights on an old mossberg 500 for my slug gun. 3" loads are real BLAST to shoot!
