The only game they couldn't "stop anyone" was Ole Miss

In the other 4 games, the opposition averaged 18 points a game.

I guarantee that our D could shut down our O.

I am sure....

I was surprised to see how far Ole Miss had developed on offense throughout the season with far inferior players. Can you imagine what a decent coordinator could do at LSU?

Because the offense couldn't stay on the field and wore our d out.

Are you referring to the 11 play 75 yard TD drive by Clemson that started at the 14:05 mark in the first quarter?

I still blame the defense for 1/9. If defense held them to zero points, we would have won the game.

Today's ATL - SEATTLE game is a prime example.

Team comes back and finds a way to get the lead---THAT IS WHAT THE OFFENSE DOES.....THE DEFENSE PROTECTS THE LEAD BY DENYING THE OPPOSING OFFENSE.

The "if we did this than the game would have unfolded a certain way" is moronic crap. People who think this way are those guys turning their beer bottle labels in the BL commercial.

And so is Tharold Simon who could not cover this dude.

The offense SUCKS. Everybody knows this.

But the defense allowed some long drives by Clemson in the first half before they were "tired".

fyi..The Clemson offense outgained LSU 248-106, held the ball for 18 minutes and eclipsed 50 plays in the first half.

I think the reason why most are disagreeing with you is that our defense played well enough to win every game. I admit they were not perfect. I admit that I wish that our secondary was a little better. But, hey, last I checked we had some VERY young guys back there.

The defense did about exactly what I expected them to do. And as good as Bama's D always is, I bet if you match them with our offense, then you will see them struggle as well.

It's just annoying to the think that our young defense was going to stop every drive and not let anyone get a first down. Every defense gives up long drives. Yes, they could have been better, but it seems pretty shitty to call out the D that was keeping us in games.

LSU Offense could have changed the ENTIRE dynamic of the Clemson game...as well as the Florda game. They could've helped our D look better...but they didn't.

Bama is what it is...two great teams battling it out.

Couldnt the offense win the game for the defense for once? I would bet the chief would like that for once.

Agree, but how many national chapmionships are won without stands by the defense? the Bama game would have been a nice starting point .......

In a 10 possession exhibition, ball starting at 20 for each drive, I believe our D would beat our O

Once again I agree. Not trying to say the offense doesnt have problems, but dont lay the entire season's woe's in thier laps. Our D had it's oppo's to make a real difference .......
