Experience on the D next year

Last year we had three Jrs and a senior start on the DL (Mingo, Downs, Logan, Montgomery) withe a Soph playing starters minutes (Johnson). We had two Jrs and a Fr at LB (Barrow, Minter, Alexander) with a bunch of true freshmen getting a lot of time. We had three Jrs and a fr starting in the secondary (Simon, Reid, Loston, Collins). This is 19 yrs playing experience going into the year.
This year we have four Jrs on the DL (Maclin, Johnson, Ferguson, Rasco) with a a a RS FR expected to get a lot of time (Hunter). We have two Sr and a So at LB (Barrow, Jones, Alexander), and a SR one Jr and two So starting in the secondary (Loston, Martin, Collins and Mills) with a Jr nickle (Eugene). This is 22 years of experience going in.
Granted there was more starting experience going into last year, but I'm not as worried about this D as many on the rant seem to be. This reminds me of the D going into 2011. If a leader can step up, they will be a strong unit. Who are the best candidates for leadership next year? Johnson? Barrow?

Throw in Loston, and you have 3 very good candidates to take the leadership role on Defense.

I'm not worried about the defense at all. LSU has recruited extremely well, and quite frankly I think the hunger was lacking from some of our juniors leaving. This group is going to be special, and we have a very talented group coming in.

Martin is an upgrade in coverage over Reid.

Loston better play like Chad MF Jones next season. I don't know about y'all but I feel a level of uncertainty going into next season with the D we are left with.

I dont think anyone is worried about our d.
It is our shite offense that worries us.

Hunter will be a true soph next year. He played on special teams all year long

I think Barrow is going to really come into his own this year. He put up great numbers and he will be like Kevin Minter was this season.
