The good ole days, when aging a deer meant letting it hang a couple days before cutting and wrapping it.

That's what I want is an oldstyle deer camp. We hunt here locally now so everyone just goes home. We do have a duck camp, but for some reason it's just not the same. Gonna put a walk in freezer in too to hand and age the deer like you 'spose to.

and when all you needed was a little Honda 110 3 wheeler and a 30-30...We didnt do food plots or box stands.You found a stump or blown down tree to get in/on.We didnt worry about having the latest camo or app....Damn yall are getting me all teary eyed.Thinking about dad now.

we'd have em hangin in the screen porch, sometimes for almost a week... The meat would seal off on top turning almost black, age and seem to turn more nice and grainy.. We pretty much did that when it turned warm as well. Main thing was to keep it dry and not allow the blow flies on it..
