In December, one LHSAA source said, “They (publics) can talk all they want about a split. But when it comes time to vote, my guess is several will not pull the trigger.” Money talks.

THAT

MFing THAT

Chalmette being in a public school district is logical right now with the status quo. it's "fair" competition, and we need to win games in order to not be a joke.

but tell us we'll never play our biggest rival and all the other Catholic schools again (whether we lose to them all the time or not) and we'll think differently about a possible split.

lots of logical games won't happen if there's a split. Evangel/Barbe was a 48-47 classic last year, and we wouldn't get a rematch. St. Paul's wouldn't play Mandeville or Covington. Calvary Baptist would never get a chance to avenge their loss to Mansfield, likewise St. Aug's losses to East Jeff in football and basketball. Catholic would never play Central or Dutchtown.

Ouachita Christian would only be able to play St. Frederick in the Monroe area. likewise with Loyola Prep, Evangel, and Calvary in Shreveport

it's easy to say a split would be fair, but it's harder when you think in terms of "we'll never play again"

The delusional public school reps think there will be a combined regular season and a split playoff format. There is no reason whatsoever for select admission schools to agree to that. They want to use us to fill out their schedule, they want to pocket our money, then they want to kick us to the curb.

That is similar to "I want to bone you but you have to leave as soon as it is over"
