FWIW.

In the past week I have talked to about 10 principals or ADs...

7 Select... 3 public.

all 3 publics WANT post season split - they realize regular season split would be catastrophic to them.

of the selects...

5 say if post season is split and many want to roll on.. they will move on... 1 doesn't care because they don't compete on a state wide level in sports that would be affected...

the ONE that could care less is from the group that is already very happy... they get what they want no matter what happens.. except they will try to get curtis and eca out of their realm... and with the 1a and 2a schools..

maybe a proposal to make privates play everyhting one class above enrollement...but still allow them to play up- not just one class - will be the break point...

really doesn't matter to me..

my kids school can compete with anyone in baseball.... football... not too shabby either... but my kid don't play football..

Well a big issue is that this has come after the decision on which class to play in, and is going to be implemented next year. It really backs the privates into a corner because if they can't get what they see fit in this meeting this week, they will be screwed for 2 years. The LHSAA should have seen this coming and addressed this type of issue before it was a problem. You should never be able to implement class changes after classes have been established.
