Val's Marina in Maurepas - Have they opened back up yet? (Posted on 1/11/13 at 11:58 am)
I know that they flooded bad due to Isaac and they had said that they planned to open back up in January 2013 but I haven't heard whether or not they had opened yet. Anyone know? I'm dying for some of their fried shrimp

They should raze the old building and build a new one up on pylons and be done with the flooding. How many times can you go through that crap? They have been flooded dozens of times since they opened many many years ago.

Val's is not opened back up yet from Issac. The projected date was February 1st but they have water again in the restaurant so not sure when they will open up now. As of this morning they have like 7 inches in the restaurant. They have a Facebook page that is keeping everyone updated and they have an email list you can get on. marina@eatel.net.
