yep, and in 7 years all that matters is they won the championship. Cling to your moral victories

Winning an SEC title is never a moral victory...

It ain't my fault media talking heads thought Alabama was a better team than Oklahoma State...

Were they? probably

Were they more deserving? not a chance

Other sports settle these issues on the field in what they call "playoffs"

Instead, 2011 Alabama got to skip the conference championship game and go straight to the title game

Facts are a bitch but when used within the entire spectrum. As a history major grad from LSU you learn that many facts are omitted in history to support larger causes ie propaganda.

The man has been here 8 years and won 85 games, 2 SEC, and 1 NC as well as a second NC appearance.

The facts are simple 08-09 are a product of RP, he was the man and was going to be the man and instead he became an idiot. 10-11 we were 23-4 and scored a lot of points. A few mistakes here and there and some bad adjustments in 1/9. This year we break in a new QB and te receivers dropped a ton of passes, patchwork OL and we lose to Clemson in a game the refs made a ton Of bad calls that helped them. Clemson was execution, Florida was execution an mistakes by the players, only Alabama is on the coaches. Until we start mirroring USC and going 7-5 after being no 1 then I'll worry.

To expand on this further...I wonder what happens if LSU sits all their starters in the 2011 SEC Championship and purposely loses...

Does Alabama vault us? Does Okie State? Do we still get to go to the National Championship?

Bottomline is the BCS has been 14 years of bullshite, only we were the ones that got screwed in '11. TCU '10, USC '08, Auburn '04, Oregon '01, Miami '00...the list is endless

Alabama just hasn't received their screw job yet, because they are privileged among the "elite" traditional programs

The above quote and the best record for wins in the SEC since 05 are the only "facts" any sane/reasonable fan should need to enjoy the elite success of LSU football.

Football experts can argue the why of our success 24/7, but the bottom line to me is that when you are winning more SEC games, the without question best/deepest college football conference in the game since 05, than any other SEC program I'm not gonna cry like a spoiled 2 yr old cause everything is not perfect or as much as I might want.

Others can do as they please.

What is difference between fans who over react to loss and want the coach fired and those that fail to acknowledge that LSU has an issue that needs to be addressed or just remain second fiddle to Alabama. Because resources and talent LSU is right with Alabama. Schedule and coaching leave a bit to be desired.

We are playing second fiddle because its Alabama, there's perception that we can't immediately among the media or SEC home office, hell Bama grads work there and run too level recruiting sites. But among national media Bama plays second fiddle to ND, Ohio State and USC in coverage and perception.

LSU is the 4th most valuable program according Forbes and highest in the SEC above even the Gumps and we graduate more players than anyone but Vandy in the SEC, and we win games and we put people in the NFL. What more do you want?

Nick Saban is best coach in all of college, he just is, we as LSU fans know this, we have a very good coach who always plays Bama well and sometimes beats him. Remember how the Gumps use to suck before Saban? Miles has some minor adjustments to make from a very young team that started the most freshmen in NCAA and still won 10 games.

I think the lack of inventiveness on offense is an issue...and the play calling at times...

Our offense succeeds most of the time because we overpower lesser teams with the running game, and because we have NFL receivers catching the ball...

we don't exactly do anything to catch the defense off guard...there is no misdirection

If I knew that Spencer Ware was going to get the ball whenever we lined up in that Pistol formation, then every defense we played knew too...

The playbook we have on offense is predictable and uninspiring...

You say that like there is some shame we should feel.

Bama has bout a 100,000 show up for their spring games. Does that mean our fans remain 2nd fiddle to theirs?

It means our fans don't care to go watch that offense when it doesn't count

I've been to the last two spring games, they aren't fan friendly enough and not enough hype even in BR for it. But for heavens sake it's Alabama, there is nothing to do there but sit on the porch or watch football. What's funny is that we still beat them in the Forbes poll, we bring in just as much profit as them and in my opinion spend more effectively even giving back to academics.

Perhaps, but then why didn't they show up for SGs after the 03 and 07 seasons?

I have been to a few. When they had the best crowds...maybe 04 and 08? pretty boring.

Great trout fishing that time of year. Hell with watchign a glorified scrimmage.

We did 33,000 last year but damn it was March and it was hot as hell. The only worth seeing was the chick in the tiger bikini and a lady with a purple tank top who sat below is with the biggest roundest fake boobs I've ever seen in person. Those were the highlights.

we averaged 29.8 points per game. how many points do we need to score to meet your expectations?

we'd all like the offense and the defense to be better than they were a year ago, but i'm not sure you're realistic.

That's a meaningless stat, and doesn't reflect the monotony on offense...

Our success on offense is going to be a lot different vs. North Texas as opposed to Alabama and Florida
