Is everything a pissing match? All I was pointing out was it was interesting because the opposite happened. I know what happened in the last two games. I don't need reminders.

I liked the article. But I have to say that this quote bothers me and reminds me of the Alleva statement when they gave Coach Miles a raise. Alleva said something like getting close is what counts.

My answer is, "no you don't get rewarded for close". What's the old saying about horse shoes and hand grenades? Close doesn't count!

It's amazing how you can turn a positive statement into a negative thought when you are a negative person. I've very pleased we play for championships at LSU. And I'm even happier when we win Championships.

You don't know me and I'm not a negative person. You perceive his statement as positive i do not. That doesn't make me negative.

He also said:
quote:

It’s an interesting thing. I think we’re close. Some people would like to say, “they’re further away. But that’s perception. It’s not in the hearts and minds of the guys that are playing back in here.

I do not think we are further away. I think close isn't good enough. For you it is. Apparently you, like the coach think everything is black and white. It's getting better or worse. Most level headed folks on here are not saying that. I'm saying close isn't enough. That's my opinion and I'm a very positive person.

That's why I mostly read here. Sorry for participating.

have your "opinions" had any update about a new OC? because this about killed me:

Advocate: Speaking of the offense, do you plan any changes in your offensive staff’s responsibilities or philosophy?
Miles: I think there’s a need to execute this offense in a more effective manner.

"this offense" seems to suggest he doesnt think the offense is a problem.

Maybe Miles reads the rant.

Hello, Leslie. Hire an OC please.

, yep. That's why Miles cost us the game...because he outcoached Saban.

What I have gathered from that article is, I should have went to Michigan and got an engineering degree instead of North Carolina A&T. Same old Miles say a lot without saying nothing at all, if you talk in circles long enough everyone will eventually get lost.

What's the point of this thread? That he understands the process of his players going pro? And if it is, so fricking what

Lol. No shite. Was this supposed to "resurrect" the great Miles?? He STILL can't coach an offense worth a frick. Happy?

i love all of the bullshite rehtorical analyses of everything CLM says, as if there is a right and a wrong answer. did you read "coachspeak for dummies" or something? you take these benign comments from a guy who uses "want" as a noun and "chest" as a synonym for "want" and try to break it down like it's a math problem. i'll bet you think the moon landing was faked, too.

and FWIW, when he says that he's not going to answer a question about staff changes, he would've said "no" straight up if that was not at least a possibility. (it also leaves the door open for him to not make any changes if no one leaves of their own volition or if he can't find someone that he's satisfied with in his search)

Preparation is part of coaching. Saban had his team prepared for our 2-minute defense and it ended up being the deciding factor against LSU.

Add that to the multiple bonehead calls by Miles and Saban abused Miles....again.
