In Les Miles-speak, I got a chilling thought that he is unknowingly (I hope) sowing the seeds of his own (and LSU's destruction). Having read his interview I surmised he is recruiting based on the athlete's likelihood of going into the NFL. Now if that's the big draw to LSU, then LSU is not (the big draw). LSU becomes the means to an end. And as he said, he doesn't do much to persuade a potential early jumper to stay put. Maybe I read that wrong, but it almost sounds like he expects (maybe even encourages) early jumping to the NFL. Which, over time and if this year's large number of jumpers is the tip of an emerging iceberg, could spell team instability over a few more years. And bring down the very thing he's built.

Don't blow this off - it may not be as far-fetched an idea as it might at first sounds.

Normal graduates --> to the NFL (to be expected)
Early jumpers --> also to the NFL (random)
Possible Outcome: Team Fabric, leadership and benefit of experience is diluted more quickly than it might be otherwise in a normal graduation pattern.

LSU becomes a farm team for the NFL, and the NFL will gladly suck us dry and then move on to the next farm team and do it again. See Miami Hurricanes.

Yes, I know...
But...
