Per MLB network. Seems about right.

RF - Dwight Evans
CF - Dale Murphy
LF - Ricky Henderson
SS - Cal Ripken Jr.
3rd - Mike Schmidt
2nd - Ryan Sandberg
1st - Don Mattingly
C - Gary Carter
P - Jack Morris.

The only one is Murphy as he played in Right. I like Willie McGhee in Center.

But I may put Winfield in over Murphy also.

I'd say Nolan Ryan over Jack Morris. C'mon buddy.

So Dale Murphy is the best center fielder for an entire decade of baseball, and yet he is not in the hall of fame.

When did Murphy play Center? I remember Claudell and Rufino Linearas but never Murphy in Center, he played Right.

When? I always remember him in Right with Braves and Phillies. Did he replace Lineras and Claudell? I'm drawing a blank seriously.

RF - Evans over Winfield is absurd.

CF - Murphy is a centerfielder, BTW.

3B - Brett is awesome. Schmidt is better.

1B - What is it with people's Don Mattingly obsession? He was good, but he wasn't THAT good. Hell, I'd take Cecil Cooper over Mattingly. I'd take Eddie Murray over both. Combined.

P - He didn't pitch the full decade, but I'll take Saberhagen and his two Cy Youngs. Or Orel Hersheiser. If we take a guy who pitched the full decade, I'd go with Steib or Tudor.

I thought his 2nd Cy was in NL in 90?

But I like Steib and Morris. If you want just one year you look at Orel and for 2 or 3 year you go Dave Stewart or Welch.
