Falco had the disappointing sugar bowl and his draft stock dropped and could never get together mentally. after a few years away from the game he comes back and could beat out an all pro.

Utah was all the rage coming out of his senior year, but after leading tosu
a Rose bowl in which he suffered career ending injury. Never play the game sort of have Aided the Utah myth much like a rapper who gets shot.

So which was the better QB at Ohio State?

Utah was overrated. That OSU team was loaded. He was more talented though because he was more athletic. However, he didnt have the accuracy and touch of Falco.

Falco was the traditional drop back passer. I'd go with those kind of QB's over the scrambling types.

Did Utah win the Rose Bowl?

Cause Falco got his arse whipped in the Sugar and didn't have much of a pro career. I'm thinking along the lines of Ryan Leaf here.

If Utah won the Rose I go with him.

Falco went to Florida St.

This I believe after I googled "Falco or Utah" first thing that came up was Tosu board discussing retiring their numbers. Big Utah fans over there.

Falco was the better talent, but for whatever reason he was never able to put it all together at Ohio State. Utah was the better college player. He played every play like it was his last up until his very last play.

Utah had interests outside of football and was able to transition, but football was all Falco had. Fortunately, he was able to make a career out of it.

I forgot about falcos concussions when he played for Seattle, those really slowed down his development in the pros.

Johnny Utah = Craig Krenzel
Shane Falco = Joe Germaine

I'm rolling with Falco. He's remembered for the Sugar Bowl disaster but stepping in the way he did for the Sentinels during the strike was nothing short if magnificent.

Falco kinda had Tory smith career at tosu, great career but a hugely disappointing bowl game.

Remember both of these are pre-bcs so it's hard to tell where they were ranked. Could have been a odd season where there was a tie in big10 and osu got the shaft out of the Rose.

Utah by a mile, He beat Michigan in all 3 years he started and won 2 Rose Bowls and 3 Big 10 Championships. Plus he was an Academic All-American and 2nd Team All-Big 10.

In high school, Mitch had been a star quarterback with several scholarship offers. He injured his knee in his last high school game, and the only school that upheld its scholarship offer was Western Kentucky University. He matriculated and played quarterback as an infrequent starter, while making straight A's and earning a degree in accounting. He and his wife Abby were high school sweethearts who got married after they graduated from Western Kentucky. While Mitch was in Law school she taught kindergarten. They are Methodist.[2

I hope you're not basing this assessment off of what Brodie and the ex-presidents thought? What the frick did those stoners know about college football?
