Deacon,, i watched some video the other day about Australia and giving up their guns... Amazing, and scary.. It was like, there it is, right in front of our faces, how can most not see it?

The irony in this post and most of this thread maybe at a legendary level.
Don't get upset when I tell you to take it to the Poli board when most of you tell me to do the same (and only because I have a different political opinion).
FYI Deacon, I clicked on this thread because you usually post something of substance. You have a history, in my opinion, of being a pretty solid poster. I was curious to see what you would post on this issue.
I try not to post on these because the result is usually the same. I thought this one might actually be a little different. Sorry for my expectations.

I have to amend that quote somewhat. I do view and post in these threads because I find it interesting to challenge my own beliefs and opinions with those that don't agree.
That can't be done on the poli board because it's full of fluff posters, but here, you sometimes get a genuine response from an informed poster. They'll disagree, but hey I might or they might learn something and the issue will be fleshed out.
I don't mind different opinions, honestly, I enjoy them. However, I can't stand outlandish, stereotypical statements. It shows that one has made no attempt to master the issues and shouldn't be discussing them in the first place.

I'll admit I have made outlandish statements, but only in response to equally absurd statements (and did that to reveal the flaw in the original statement).
I try to make statements based on a reasoning that may very well be different that most on here, but it's based on a logical progression of thought that is shared by many.
