Mike McCoy as HC, Tebow at QB. Reuniting after the Denver glory days.

i think if you're gonna hire a guy, whether or not he's the best hire, you gotta give him a shot. the jaguars roster is just horrid and i'm not sure what more anyone could expect out of that team than 4 wins. i've sat here and watched JAX under weaver just erode and now they're going all UT on us. and this Tebow bull shite is what really is doing it for me. it's obvious at this point JAX is just accepting their role as a bottom tier franchise and just wanna get whatever they can out of Tebow mania. i'm just not sure how long UF fans are gonna enjoy watching their idol get his arse whipped. i do agree about smith, though, at least

In his initial press conference, Caldwell just told the Jacksonville media that he can't forsee any scenario where Tebow would become a Jaguar. Even if the Jets release him. I also read something where he supposedly told Khan that gimmicks like Tebow don't sell tickets nearly as well as winning. I am cautiously optimistic about the Jaguars' future. I mean, it can't get much worse.

i just saw that and i withdraw a lot of my ire now. honestly i was more pissed about that, them tossing mularkey was just the last straw. them not bringing tebow is huge. now i feel foolish, i had gone this long without turning on them and when i do they actually didn't frick up yet

I have been pissed about Tebow potentially coming here too, but this should shut people up about it. Seems like Caldwell knows this is his one shot, and he isn't going to piss it away trying to please the part of the fanbase that will only come to games if their favorite college quarterback is picked up in the offseason.

If he is a Dimitroff disciple, you'll see that with all his hires. Might speak to why Caldwell immediately told Mularkey to kick rocks...he knows what kind of coach he is. Could be a good thing DGD.

Yeah, I think he's a solid hire. I think the head coaching search will be pretty telling. Supposedly Roman is the leading candidate because they were college roommates. I don't see him hiring a buddy without him being the most qualified candidate though.
